History Day at BHS will start in September 10 on Club Day. It will meet each Club Day during Club time 2 in Social Studies room 2. Ms. Logan will be the sponsor. Before the October meeting, students should form groups, select topics, type of presentation, and start the research. Good places to look are social studies textbooks, newspapers, and televisions programs such as nightly news reports, The History Channel, or The Discovery Channel. Students should try to find something that interests them as the project is ongoing for most of the year and much of the work is completed on their own. Make sure whatever topic is chosen, this years theme of Rights and Responsibilities, is woven into what type of project you choose to complete: exhibit, historical paper, performance, or documentary. ![]() Check out the National History Day Web Site On this website you will find a lot of useful information. |
