Free hardwood seedlings are available for youth planting projects in the Virginia portion of the Chesapeake Bay watershed.Seedlings available: White oak Pin oak Black walnut Hackberry Persimmon Seedling order forms must be faxed or mailed to your County Extension Office by Jan. 10, 2007. Seedling delivery dates will vary by county, between March 15 and April 15. Seedlings will arrive bare-root and must be repacakged before sending home with students. (Wrap roots in moist paper towel and place in a plastic bag.) Contact your 4-H Extension Agent, Program Assistant or 4-H Volunteer for details.
