Self sustainable and ecological architectural design
by Mr. Hinson's Ecology class at Narrows High School.Project Description:
Students, working individually or in small groups, will research the concept of sustainable development, alternative energy sources, and alternative water sources. Using this information, students design their own home made of recyclable materials that uses alternative energy resources. When students complete their projects, they will be published on the Internet.Guiding Objective:
The student will develop an understanding about the importance of recycling, conservation, and their own personal impact on the environment.Objectives:
- The student will develop an understanding of what sustainable development is and the issues surrounding it.
- The student will develop an understanding of different alternative energy sources and the issues surrounding them.
- The student will continue to refine research and information literacy skills.
